Welcome to the Aerospace Robotics Lab at Georgia Tech. We are part of the Space Systems Design Laboratory.

Our group tackles fundamental theoretical and experimental challenges in the design, analysis, control, and development of resource constrained autonomous space systems and robotic systems for extreme environments by leveraging tools from nonlinear control theory, optimal control theory, convex optimization, and probability theory. Our current focus is on the following problems:

Formation Planning, Optimization, and Control:
Design and control of modular autonomous agents for large scale structures and collaborative sensing.

Learning-Enhanced Motion Planning and Control: Utilizing machine learning to enhance motion planning, ensure safety, and maintain stability during operations.

Decision Making Under Uncertainty: Design, analysis, and numerical methods to solve the stochastic optimal control problem under chance constraints.
